If a student isn't following one of the classroom rules they will be given one warning, if the behavior continues they will have to change their card. Behavior will be recorded and sent home each day in the students homework folder.
Green Card: Green is a great day!
Yellow Card: Yellow means the student received a warning, but changed their behavior after the warning.
Orange Card: Orange means after their warning the student didn’t change their behavior. Once a student changes to orange they will need to “stop and think” for 2-5 minutes. The teacher will conference with the student to make a plan to change their behavior.
Red Card: Red means that the student wasn’t able to change their behavior after their “stop and think.” At this time the student will need to do a “stop and go.” During a “stop and go” the student will take a form to our buddy classroom and take a 10 minute time away. They will reflect on their behavior and then come back to class.
Blue Slip: If a blue slip comes home that means your student broke a level 2 rule. The level 2 rule broken will be circled on the top of the blue slip and your signature will be required on the form. The student will have a consequence for a blue slip infraction.
Rewards: If a student is following the rules they'll be rewarded with immediate positive praise! If a student is noticed following the rules consistently they will be given a star on their good behavior card. Once a student reaches 20 stars they can choose something from the prize box.
